Weekly Classes & Open Studio
We specialize in weekly group art classes, where students get individual coaching from an experienced instructor. Classes are geared towards adults, teenagers and children ages 6+. Instruction is given in acrylics, oil paints, watercolors, oil pastel, color pencil, charcoal, and graphite. All supplies are provided at the studio.
Our flexible lesson plan is tailored to the individual student’s age and experience, offering suitable techniques to three levels of challenge. Children start with cartooning and basic shape building, and later explore realism, interpretive style and composition. Teens and adults build on the same skills through realism, while moving into other areas of concept and style. Topics in our curriculum include still life, landscape, portrait, figure, illustration, surrealism, abstract, and many others.

Program Formats
Group Instruction: Students work on projects based on similar template and objectives. Group instruction emphasizes lesson structure, common learning goals, and sharing feedback between artists.
Workshop: Students work on unique projects at their own pace, rather than keeping in step with each other. Workshop-style classes are ideal for independent learners.
Open Studio: This non-instructional period allows artists to use our space and materials for their own projects. A staff member is present to supervise and help find supplies.
